Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterpiece of engineering. This expertly designed rotary kiln flawlessly aligns with the unique calcining properties of dolomite and meets the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, becoming the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system. Our state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln are distinguished by their consistently stable and uniform quality, boasting exceptional reactivity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, enhancing magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon usage. Furthermore, it significantly lowers production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium,making it the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting a new benchmark for excellence and innovation.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precisely crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers. It is then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled efficiently by a state-of-the-art cooler. Advanced ball mill machinery further pulverizes it into fine powder, which is formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is expertly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a robust heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
