Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an ingeniously designed rotary kiln, masterfully tailored to meet the distinctive calcining characteristics of dolomite and the exacting needs of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the keystone of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln demonstrate consistently uniform and superior quality, exhibiting exceptional activity and negligible ignition loss. This ensures full adherence to the stringent standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, thereby elevating the magnesium extraction rate, enhancing silicon efficiency, and significantly reducing the production and consumption costs in metal magnesium processing. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, setting a definitive standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precisely crushed to optimal dimensions (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by a sophisticated cooler. Further refinement through advanced ball mill machinery creates fine powder, which is formed into balls with a high-performance ball press. Calcination in rotary or vertical kilns converts dolomite into calcined white, which is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to craft the ideal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank. It undergoes reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
