Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, carefully crafted to harmonize with the distinctive calcining properties of dolomite and the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the linchpin of the dolomite calcining system. This contemporary marvel products emerging from the rotary kiln showcase consistently stable and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures complete adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while significantly reducing the production and consumption expenses linked to metal magnesium. It is the definitive equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the gold standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precisely crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through cutting-edge ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
