The metallic magnesium production line This is an expertly crafted, cutting-edge rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to address the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite. It meets the stringent demands of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, acting as the linchpin of the dolomite calcining system, delivering unparalleled efficiency and precision. The products produced by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln showcase exceptional stability and remarkable quality consistency, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It perfectly meets the rigorous standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, enhancing magnesium extraction and silicon utilization, which significantly reduces production costs and decreases the consumption of metallic magnesium,. It stands as the indispensable piece of equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing realm.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of meticulous, expertly coordinated stages: starting with raw material storage, transitioning through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is carefully broken down to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a state-of-the-art cooler, and finely ground by a high-performance ball mill. This powder is then efficiently compressed into balls using a precision ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is skillfully raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is expertly extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots of superior quality.
