The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a meticulously orchestrated series of stages: it begins with raw material storage, progresses through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminates in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed into optimal fragments (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled via a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls via a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature elevates to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield flawless finished magnesium ingots.
