Product Introduction

This kiln is the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, delivering unmatched efficiency and precision in its operation. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit unparalleled stability and uniform quality, boasting superior reactivity and negligible loss on ignition, seamlessly fulfilling the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design enhances the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and the consumption of metallic magnesium,. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The entire magnesiumsmelting process unravels through a series of carefully orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, transitioning through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then evenly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, allowing for the extraction of crude magnesium, which is then further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
