The metallic magnesium production line at the heart of innovation, is an expertly crafted rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to perfectly align with the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and the precise requirements of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It stands proudly as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system. This state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln exhibit consistently stable and homogenous quality,crafted to boast remarkable activity alongside minimal ignition loss. This ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thus enhancing the magnesium extraction rate while optimizing silicon utilization, effectively lowering the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium.It redefines the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting an unrivaled benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process is an intricate journey spanning raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled effectively by a sophisticated cooler. Further pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press, the calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a flawless dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
