It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting the benchmark for excellence and efficiency.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process spans raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled effectively by a sophisticated cooler. This is followed by pulverization into fine powder using advanced ball mill machinery and ball formation via a high-performance ball press. Dolomite undergoes calcination in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming into calcined white, which is then combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, forming a perfect dough. This mixture is placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and reduced in a furnace reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with crude magnesium extraction, flux refining, ingot casting, and surface treatment, producing premium magnesium ingots of the highest quality.
