It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of meticulously orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, creating a cohesive dough that is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature escalates to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
