Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to address the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and meet the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently exhibit stable and uniform quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing magnesium extraction rates and optimizing silicon utilization, while significantly reducing production and consumption costs related to metallic magnesium. It stands as the premier equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting a standard of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precisely crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by advanced crushers, sintered in a rotary kiln, and efficiently cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is further milled into fine powder using high-tech ball mills and formed into balls with a high-performance ball press. The calcination process occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then expertly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment, culminating in premium magnesium ingots.

3) At the heart of the kiln's design is a high-efficiency vertical cooler that ingeniously recaptures the heat from the high-temperature whitened materials of the rotary kiln, preheating secondary air to an impressive 650°C. This sophisticated feature markedly enhances thermal efficiency and yields remarkable economic returns.
