It is essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then pressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and treated to yield premium magnesium ingots.
