Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an expertly crafted rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to address the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and the stringent process demands of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln serves as the linchpin of the dolomite calcining system, delivering unparalleled efficiency and precision. products produced by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln demonstrate exceptional stability and consistent quality, boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, it flawlessly meets the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This design improves the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, significantly lowering production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
