Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an exquisitely engineered rotary kiln, precisely crafted to harmonize with the unique calcining properties of dolomite and the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. Serving as the foundation of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge technology products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently display stable and homogenous quality, exhibiting remarkable activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby augmenting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs related to metal magnesium. It stands as the essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the standard for unparalleled excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is expertly crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled efficiently by an advanced cooler. It is further ground into a fine powder using state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls via a high-performance ball press. The calcination process occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into pristine calcined white. This is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an impeccable dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce superior quality magnesium ingots.
