The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulously orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, advancing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is broken down to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and then finely ground by a ball mill. This processed powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a precise vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is meticulously extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield pristine magnesium ingots.
