As the central element of the dolomite calcining system, it provides unmatched efficiency and precision. products crafted by this avant-garde rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and uniform quality, featuring high reactivity and negligible loss on ignition, seamlessly fulfilling the demanding requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This design optimization boosts the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, substantially reducing production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process is meticulously orchestrated through various stages: commencing with raw material storage, proceeding through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground using a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls with a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mix, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
