The complete process of magnesiumsmelting progresses through a sequence of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. It begins with breaking down raw dolomite into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then consistently mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is expertly raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and finished into magnesium ingots with surface treatment.
