Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, designed with precision to cater to the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite. It meets the stringent demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln serves as the pivotal component of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring efficiency and precision that are second to none. products crafted by this cutting-edge rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and uniform quality, delivering high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, they seamlessly fulfill the demanding specifications of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design enhances the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, driving down production expenses and metallic magnesium usage,. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The entire magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. The raw dolomite is initially crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive blend, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment, resulting in premium magnesium ingots.
