Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to perfectly align with the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and the precise requirements of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It stands as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, representing the pinnacle of modern engineering. products emerging from the rotary kiln exhibit consistently stable and homogeneous quality, boasting outstanding activity levels and minimal ignition loss. This ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium.. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting the industry benchmark for excellence and reliability.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) with specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by a state-of-the-art cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect mixture, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
