As the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln guarantees exceptional efficiency and precision in every operation. products The state-of-the-art rotary kiln consistently produces products with exceptional stability and uniform quality,boasting high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It precisely aligns with the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, optimizing magnesium extraction rates and enhancing silicon utilization. This results in significantly reduced production costs and lower consumption of metallic magnesium,standing as the essential equipment for dolomite calcination in the dynamic magnesium manufacturing industry.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through meticulously coordinated stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through precise dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is processed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) through crushing, then sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This refined powder is then compressed using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders into a cohesive dough, packed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, facilitating the extraction of crude magnesium, which is further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment, resulting in high-quality magnesium ingots.
