Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line features an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to resonate with the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and the precise demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the backbone of the dolomite calcining system, this state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently showcase stable and homogenous quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures flawless compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. Moreover, it significantly reduces the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, establishing the benchmark for unparalleled excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled efficiently by an advanced cooler. Subsequently, it is pulverized into fine powder through cutting-edge ball mill technology and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
