Product Introduction
The production line for metallic magnesium is an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to align with the distinctive calcining attributes of dolomite. It is designed with precision to meet the exacting demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. Serving as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, this state-of-the-art products emerging from the rotary kiln exhibit consistently stable and homogenous quality, boasting remarkable activity and minimal ignition loss. This ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. It significantly reduces the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting the benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses every stage from raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting to reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers. It is then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by a sophisticated cooler. Further pulverizing into fine powder occurs through advanced ball mill machinery and ball forming is achieved using a high-performance ball press. Calcination takes place in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect dough, which is then placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield premium magnesium ingots.
