The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. First, the raw dolomite undergoes precision crushing into ideal sizes (20-40mm) via specialized crushers, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln and efficient cooling through an advanced cooler. The material is further ground into a fine powder by cutting-edge ball mill equipment and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination is conducted in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then expertly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and reduced in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, succeeded by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce superior magnesium ingots.
