Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to address the unique calcining attributes of dolomite and adhere precisely to the Pidgeon method's standards for magnesium smelting. It forms the heart of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln are distinguished by their consistently stable and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. These attributes ensure comprehensive compliance with the Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, significantly boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while dramatically reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting unparalleled standards of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precisely crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through advanced ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an ideal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to yield high-quality magnesium ingots.
