Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an intricately engineered rotary kiln, specifically designed to meet the distinct calcining characteristics of dolomite, while catering to the exacting demands of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the pivotal component of the dolomite calcining system. This pioneering products produced by the rotary kiln consistently display stable and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and negligible ignition loss. This assures full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thus boosting the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while significantly reducing the production and consumption expenses tied to metal magnesium. It is the definitive equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, establishing the standard for superiority.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process covers raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precisely crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further ground into fine powder using sophisticated ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination takes place in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a flawless dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and reduced in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
