Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a precision-engineered rotary kiln, masterfully designed to match the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It stands as the pivotal element of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently showcase remarkable stability and uniform quality, featuring exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby elevating the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing the use of silicon. Additionally, it significantly reduces production and consumption costs associated with metallic magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector, setting a new benchmark for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite undergoes precision crushing into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, is then sintered in a rotary kiln and cooled by an advanced cooler. Further pulverization into fine powder is achieved through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery, followed by ball formation using a high-efficiency ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect mixture, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and careful surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
