Product Introduction

This kiln is the core component of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unparalleled efficiency and precision. products The advanced rotary kiln produces products that exhibit exceptional stability and consistent quality, with high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, fulfilling all the stringent requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This innovative design enhances the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and the consumption of metallic magnesium,. It is an indispensable asset in the dolomite calcination process within the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of well-orchestrated stages: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
