The complete process of magnesiumsmelting is an intricate series of stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. The process begins by breaking down raw dolomite into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln, cooling in a cooler, and fine grinding by a ball mill. Subsequently, this powder is compressed into balls using a ball press. Calcined dolomite is then seamlessly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature escalates to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to meticulous surface treatment to produce high-quality finished magnesium ingots.
