Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, precisely engineered to cater to the specific calcining characteristics of dolomite. It meets the exacting process requirements of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln is the pivotal component of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unrivaled efficiency and precision. products produced by this cutting-edge rotary kiln are characterized by exceptional stability and unwavering quality, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition, perfectly aligning with the demanding requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This sophisticated design boosts magnesium extraction rates, elevates silicon utilization, and substantially cuts down production costs and metallic magnesium consumption,. It is deemed indispensable for dolomite calcination in the magnesium production industry.
The holistic magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a sequence of precise stages: commencing with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is reduced to ideal sizes (20-40mm) via a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and meticulously ground by a ball mill. This refined powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. Subsequently, the calcined dolomite is uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive paste, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction containers. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures ascend to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, facilitating the extraction of crude magnesium, which is then further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatments to produce finished magnesium ingots.
