The entire magnesiumsmelting process is a symphony of precision, encompassing stages from raw material storage to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, ending in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is meticulously crushed into ideal sizes (20-40mm) with a crusher, sintered in the rotary kiln, cooled, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then expertly compressed into balls with a ball press. The calcined dolomite is consistently combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders into a robust dough, placed in heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, enabling the extraction of crude magnesium, which is further refined, cast into ingots, and polished to create exquisite finished magnesium ingots.
