Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a marvel of modern engineering, featuring a rotary kiln designed with precision to cater to the distinctive calcining properties of dolomite and the stringent demands of the Pidgeon method. It forms the backbone of the dolomite calcining system, representing cutting-edge technology. products produced by the rotary kiln are of consistently stable and uniform quality,highlighting exceptional activity and reduced ignition loss. This ensures not only full compliance with Pidgeon method standards but also elevates the extraction rate of magnesium and refines silicon utilization, all while significantly reducing production and consumption expenses in the metal magnesium industry.It is the premier equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, setting unbeatable standards of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process includes raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is precisely crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) via specialized crushers, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln and efficient cooling by an advanced cooler. The material is then finely ground through state-of-the-art ball mill technology and shaped into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination process takes place in either a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is expertly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a perfect mixture, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.

3) At the forefront of the kiln is a highly efficient vertical cooler that expertly captures the heat from high-temperature whitened materials from the rotary kiln, utilizing it to preheat secondary air to an impressive 650°C. This advanced design significantly increases thermal efficiency and delivers exemplary economic benefits.
