Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a precision-engineered rotary kiln, intricately crafted to align with the specialized calcining attributes of dolomite. It meets the stringent process demands of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, standing as the cornerstone equipment in the dolomite calcining system. This kiln guarantees peak efficiency and accuracy in processing. products produced by this innovative rotary kiln are distinguished by their exceptional stability and consistent quality, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss upon ignition, perfectly complying with the demanding process standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This leads to an enhanced magnesium extraction rate and optimized silicon utilization, substantially lowering production costs and conserving metallic magnesium resources,. It is undeniably the central equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium sector.
The complete magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precisely controlled stages: beginning with raw material storage, proceeding through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered within a rotary kiln, cooled through a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This refined powder is then compacted into balls by a ball press. The calcined dolomite is methodically blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a dough, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within a reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa to extract crude magnesium, which is further refined, cast into ingots, and surface-treated to create finished magnesium ingots.

3) A vertical cooler at the kiln's head makes full use of the heat from the kiln's high-temperature whitened material to preheat the secondary air to an impressive 650°C, further boosting thermal efficiency and yielding exceptional economic benefits.
