Product Introduction
Our metallic magnesium production line features a specially designed rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to address the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite and fulfill the stringent process demands of the renowned Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln serves as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unparalleled efficiency and precision. The products produced by this rotary kiln showcase exceptional stability and consistent quality,while offering high activity and minimal ignition loss, aligning perfectly with the rigorous process criteria of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This increases the magnesium extraction rate and optimizes silicon utilization, significantly cutting down production costs and consumption of metallic magnesium,. It undeniably stands as the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry.
The extensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through precise stages, starting from raw material storage to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, followed by reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into appropriate sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled via a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then pressed into balls by a ball press. The calcined dolomite is evenly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a dough, which is placed in heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. In a reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. Here, crude magnesium is extracted and further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.

3) A vertical cooler at the kiln's head harnesses the heat from the kiln's high-temperature whitened material to preheat the secondary air to an impressive 650°C, thereby escalating thermal efficiency and offering remarkable economic returns.
