The metallic magnesium production line presents an expertly crafted rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to meet the unique calcining demands of dolomite and the rigorous process standards set by the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. At the heart of the dolomite calcining system, this kiln delivers unmatched efficiency and precision. products produced by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln are characterized by exceptional stability and consistent high-quality performance,, boasting superior reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It seamlessly aligns with the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting, enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. This significantly reduces production costs and the consumption of metallic magnesium,. It serves as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing domain.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting with raw material storage, progressing through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm), sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled, and ground into fine powder by a ball mill. This powder is compacted into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite, uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders, forms a cohesive dough, ready for placement into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and surface-treated to produce finished magnesium ingots.
