A powerful forced blast establishes a high-temperature zone within the kiln, achieving an astounding 1000-1200ºC. This intense thermal realm facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds through a skillful carbon reducing agent, transforming them into zinc metal vapor, which transitions into the gas phase. In this gaseous state, zinc vapor engages with oxygen, converting into zinc oxide dust, which is adeptly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. This sophisticated process culminates in a low-grade zinc oxide product. Furthermore, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium are reduced and oxidized, elevating the final product, while valuable metals like copper, gold, and silver are retained within the kiln slag, preserving their intrinsic value.
