The comprehensive process of magnesiumsmelting encompasses the strategic stages of raw material storage, meticulous dolomite calcination, precise grinding, and briquetting, followed by sophisticated reduction and refinement. Initially, the raw material (dolomite) is intricately crushed into qualified sizes (20-40mm) by the crusher. It is then sintered with precision in a rotary kiln, cooled efficiently by a cooler, and ground into fine powder with a ball mill. The material is crafted into balls using a ball press, ready for advanced processing. In the rotary or vertical kiln, dolomite is meticulously calcined into calcined white. This is then expertly crushed and uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon powder and fluorite powder to form a dough-like consistency. This mixture is placed into a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank which is then situated in a reduction furnace. Here, it undergoes reduction at precise temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, resulting in crude magnesium. Following this, the magnesium undergoes flux refining, ingot casting, and surface treatment to produce premium-quality finished magnesium ingots.
