It is essential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of precise stages: starting from raw material storage, moving through dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and concluding with reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is broken down to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, then finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is compressed into balls via a ball press. The calcined dolomite is then mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to become finished magnesium ingots.
