This advanced design optimizes the magnesium extraction rate and enhances silicon utilization, significantly reducing production costs and minimizing metallic magnesium consumption,. It stands as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a series of meticulous stages: beginning with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is raised to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to yield finished magnesium ingots.
