Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an expertly engineered rotary kiln, meticulously crafted to align with the distinct calcining attributes of dolomite and the precise specifications of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. Serving as the nucleus of the dolomite calcining system, this avant-garde products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently demonstrate stable and homogenous quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This pivotal feature ensures full compliance with Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thereby enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization. It significantly reduces the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting new standards of excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. The journey begins with raw dolomite being precision-crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln and effective cooling via a sophisticated cooler. The material is then finely pulverized through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls with a high-performance ball press. Calcination takes place in either a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is meticulously mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a perfect dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at high temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates in the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and meticulous surface treatment to produce premium magnesium ingots.
