Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an expertly engineered rotary kiln, designed with precision to cater to the unique calcining properties of dolomite while meeting the exact specifications of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. As the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, this cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln maintain a consistently stable and uniform quality, exhibiting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees complete adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thus enhancing the magnesium extraction rate and optimizing silicon utilization, while considerably reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium.. It is the quintessential equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting the gold standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is precisely crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by a sophisticated cooler. It is further ground into a fine powder using advanced ball mill machinery and shaped into balls using a high-performance ball press. The calcination process occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming the dolomite into calcined white. Subsequently, it is meticulously combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create a perfect mixture, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures reaching 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce superior magnesium ingots.
