Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to seamlessly integrate with the distinctive calcining properties of dolomite and the exacting standards of the Pidgeon process for magnesium smelting. It stands as the pivotal element of the dolomite calcining ecosystem. This innovative products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently manifest stable and uniform quality, boasting exceptional activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method specifications for magnesium smelting, subsequently boosting magnesium yield and maximizing silicon efficiency, while significantly reducing both production and consumption costs associated with metallic magnesium. It is the paramount equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting an unprecedented standard for excellence.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the raw dolomite is expertly crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and effectively cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further pulverized into fine powder through cutting-edge ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-efficiency ball press. The calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is then skillfully blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an ideal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, achieving temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and precise surface treatment to yield superior magnesium ingots.

3) At the forefront of the kiln lies a high-efficiency vertical cooler that ingeniously harnesses the heat from the high-temperature whitened materials of the rotary kiln, preheating secondary air to an impressive 650°C. This sophisticated design significantly elevates thermal efficiency and delivers remarkable economic returns.
