The complete process of magnesiumsmelting unfolds through a meticulously orchestrated series of stages: starting with the storage of raw materials, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is size-optimized (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely milled by a ball mill. This powder is then pressed into balls. The calcined dolomite is uniformly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
