A robust forced blast generates a high-temperature zone within the kiln, reaching an impressive 1000-1200ºC. This intense thermal environment enables the reduction of zinc metal compounds using an adept carbon reducing agent, transforming them into zinc metal vapor that transitions into the gas phase. In this vaporous state, zinc vapor interacts with oxygen, converting into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. This sophisticated process results in a low-grade zinc oxide product. Moreover, zinc-rich metals such as lead and indium are reduced and oxidized, enhancing the final product, while valuable metals like copper, gold, and silver are preserved within the kiln slag, maintaining their intrinsic value.
