Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an ingeniously engineered rotary kiln, precisely crafted to meet the specialized calcining characteristics of dolomite, tailored to the rigorous standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the pivotal component of the dolomite calcining system. This cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln maintain consistently stable and uniform quality, featuring extraordinary activity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees full adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, thus elevating the magnesium yield and enhancing silicon utilization efficiency, while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs associated with metallic magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, establishing the standard for excellence.
The extensive magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is meticulously crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further finely pulverized through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, transforming dolomite into calcined white. This is expertly blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an ideal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C and a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with crude magnesium extraction, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and thorough surface treatment to produce premium-grade magnesium ingots.

3) At the kiln's forefront is a high-efficiency vertical cooler that ingeniously captures the heat from the high-temperature whitened materials of the rotary kiln, preheating secondary air to an impressive 650°C. This sophisticated configuration significantly boosts thermal efficiency and yields remarkable economic returns.
