Delve into the revolutionary production of secondary zinc oxide through a cutting-edge method where the powerful rotary kiln takes center stage. This technique, known as the rotary kiln volatilization method, begins when zinc oxide ore is precisely blended with either coke powder or smokeless crushed coal. This expertly measured blend is then channeled into the rotary kiln via the kiln tail discharge pipe. As the rotary kiln elegantly rotates, these materials gradually move forward. Supported by a strategic forced blast, a high-temperature reaction zone is established within the kiln, reaching temperatures of 1000-1200ºC. This remarkable heat facilitates the reduction of zinc metal compounds, thanks to a carbon reducing agent, converting them into metal zinc vapor that enters the gas phase. In this phase, the zinc vapor meets oxygen from the air, transforming into zinc oxide dust, which is skillfully collected by the dust collection system alongside the flue gas. This process yields a low-grade zinc oxide product. Additionally, metals rich in zinc, such as lead and indium, are reduced and oxidized, enhancing the final product, while metals like copper, as well as precious metals such as gold and silver, remain within the kiln slag, adding to its value.

At the heart of this pioneering process system lies a formidable suite of equipment: a robust Roots blower, the essential rotary kiln, a kiln tail smoke chamber, a surface air cooler, a dust collector, a sophisticated desulfurization system, a precise batching system, a granulator, and an intricate network of advanced conveying equipment, all working in harmony to ensure flawless operation at each phase of the process.
