The design significantly improves the magnesium extraction rate, enhances silicon utilization, and dramatically reduces production costs and consumption of metallic magnesium,standing as the indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium manufacturing sector.
The complete process of magnesiumsmelting is a seamless journey through a series of meticulous stages: starting with raw material storage, advancing to dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is expertly crushed to optimal sizes (20-40mm) with a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground in a ball mill. This precision-ground powder is then skillfully compressed into balls using a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, strategically placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures rise to an impressive 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is meticulously extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and finally treated on the surface to produce superior finished magnesium ingots.
