Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is a masterfully designed rotary kiln, tailored with precision to match the distinct calcining characteristics of dolomite and meet the exacting specifications of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. Serving as the core of the dolomite calcining infrastructure, this cutting-edge products emerging from the rotary kiln consistently display superb quality and uniformity, featuring exceptional reactivity and a negligible ignition loss. This ensures strict adherence to Pidgeon method standards for magnesium smelting, consequently augmenting the magnesium extraction efficiency and optimizing silicon use, while significantly reducing both the production and consumption costs associated with metal magnesium. It stands as the pivotal equipment for dolomite calcination in the magnesium industry, setting the standard for unparalleled performance.
The thorough magnesiumsmelting process encompasses raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. Initially, the unprocessed dolomite is precisely crushed to ideal sizes (20-40mm) by specialized crushers, then sintered in a rotary kiln and efficiently cooled by an advanced cooler. It is further pulverized into a fine powder through state-of-the-art ball mill machinery and formed into balls using a high-efficiency ball press. The calcination process occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then meticulously blended with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an impeccable dough, placed in a durable heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace, reaching temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process culminates with the extraction of raw magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce premium-grade magnesium ingots.
