A powerful forced blast creates a high-temperature zone within the kiln, achieving an impressive 1000-1200ºC. Within this intense thermal environment, zinc metal compounds undergo reduction through the skillful use of a carbon reducing agent, transforming them into zinc metal vapor that transitions into the gaseous state. In this vaporous form, zinc vapor engages with oxygen, converting into zinc oxide dust, which is expertly captured by the dust collection system along with the flue gas. This sophisticated process yields a low-grade zinc oxide product. Furthermore, zinc-rich metals like lead and indium experience reduction and oxidation, enhancing the final output, while valuable metals such as copper, gold, and silver are preserved within the kiln slag, safeguarding their intrinsic value.
