Product Introduction
The metallic magnesium production line is an ingeniously designed rotary kiln, meticulously tailored to cater to the distinctive calcining properties of dolomite and the exacting standards of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. It serves as the pivotal element of the dolomite calcining system. This avant-garde products that emerge from the rotary kiln are renowned for their consistently stable and uniform quality, featuring remarkable reactivity and minimal ignition loss. This guarantees complete adherence to Pidgeon method specifications for magnesium smelting, thereby boosting the magnesium yield and optimizing silicon consumption, all while significantly reducing the production and consumption costs linked with metal magnesium. It is the ultimate equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium industry, setting a new standard for superior performance.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process includes stages such as raw material storage, dolomite calcination, grinding, briquetting, reduction, and refining. The process begins with the meticulous crushing of raw dolomite into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using specialized crushers, followed by sintering in a rotary kiln and efficient cooling by an advanced cooler. Subsequently, it is finely ground into powder through state-of-the-art ball mill technology and formed into balls via a high-performance ball press. Calcination occurs in a rotary or vertical kiln, converting dolomite into calcined white. This is then precisely combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to create an ideal dough, placed in a heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tank, and subjected to reduction in a furnace at temperatures of 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa. The process concludes with the extraction of crude magnesium, followed by flux refining, ingot casting, and detailed surface treatment to produce superior magnesium ingots.
