The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a meticulously orchestrated series of stages. It begins with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, culminating in reduction and refining. Raw dolomite is initially broken down into optimal sizes (20-40mm) with a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled using a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This fine powder is compressed into balls with a ball press. Calcined dolomite is then uniformly mixed with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive dough, placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Within the reduction furnace, temperatures soar to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, extracting crude magnesium, which is further refined, cast into ingots, and undergoes surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
