Product Introduction
The illustrious metallic magnesium production line features an expertly crafted rotary kiln, meticulously engineered to meet the unique calcining characteristics of dolomite while satisfying the stringent process demands of the esteemed Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. This kiln stands as the cornerstone of the dolomite calcining system, ensuring unmatched efficiency and precision. products created by this state-of-the-art rotary kiln exhibit remarkable stability and consistent quality, featuring high reactivity and minimal loss on ignition. It seamlessly fulfills the rigorous requirements of the Pidgeon method for magnesium smelting. The design significantly increases magnesium extraction rates and enhances silicon utilization, thereby reducing production costs and minimizing metallic magnesium consumption. This represents indispensable equipment for dolomite calcination within the magnesium manufacturing industry.
The comprehensive magnesiumsmelting process unfolds through a series of meticulously orchestrated stages: starting with raw material storage, followed by dolomite calcination, grinding, and briquetting, and culminating in reduction and refining. Initially, raw dolomite is crushed into optimal sizes (20-40mm) using a crusher, sintered in a rotary kiln, cooled in a cooler, and finely ground by a ball mill. This powder is then compressed into balls with a ball press. The calcined dolomite is uniformly combined with ferrosilicon and fluorite powders to form a cohesive mixture, which is placed into heat-resistant stainless steel reduction tanks. Inside the reduction furnace, the temperature is elevated to 1200-1250°C under a vacuum of 1.33Pa, where crude magnesium is extracted, further refined, cast into ingots, and subjected to surface treatment to produce finished magnesium ingots.
